Tuesday, October 16th, 2007Facebook has changed the way I communicate with my friends now. It has been 2 years since I have moved back to India (from Chapel Hill, USA). I have been procrastinating at emailing my friends from college. Every time I would go to Thunderbird or Gmail to email a friend, there would be something else waiting for my attention… a business email or spam. After I got hooked onto Facebook earlier this year things have changed. With my social network in one place, I can very easily send a message or post on multiple walls within minutes. If someone replies, I get a notification in my inbox that takes me back to Facebook. I feel this is going to happen to business emails as well. Its best to have alerts and notifications enter you inbox and have the real stuff stored elsewhere (whether an online office app)…
