Uploading files within Task comments

Very often we comment on the tasks and if necessary, we upload a relevant file in the files section. We have simplified this further. Now, you can upload files within task comments itself. This way we can associate the file with the specific task comment and not lose track of why the file was uploaded.

Extending the deadline dates of tasks by commenting.

We set deadlines for our work from time to time and occasionally notice a variation. Let’s be serious, sometimes we do skip deadlines because of some inadvertent problems or unexpected issues popping up. That’s why DeskAway just added a new feature where you can extend your task deadline by commenting on the task. This way you can also state down the reason or the need to extend the deadline. Anyone who is a part of the task can extend the deadline, though this will be shown on the task comment in red.

You can now attach files to messages and to message comments. Many times we send out a message and then need to discuss a particular document or an image. Files are uploaded:

1. To a Message - The Message creator/owner can upload multiple files to the main message

2. With a Message Comment - Anyone can upload a file as a message comment for others to see and comment on.

Whenever, a file is uploaded to a message the Dashboard will show a tiny pin icon to denote that this message has a file.

We also give you the ability to link up Messages to a Milestone. From the Milestone page you can view all Messages that are linked to that particular Milestone.

When you work on Projects, more often there is a need to send out common messages to all those involved in that particular project. These messages could be general guidelines, motivational messages, specific information related to design or development or team party invites

You can Add Categories and tag each message to a category, making it easy to organize. You can even choose to send the message out to only a few people in the team.Teammates can respond to the message by adding their comments to it. Thus keeping all related thoughts to that topic under one message thread.
