Superchooha saves 48 minutes per team member per day…

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

Superchooha is a Social Business Communications firm from Mumbai, India. What that means is that we use social media to engage customers with brands, and teams within the organisation for efficient business operations.

We believe in spreading social everywhere on the web. Things on the social web change every second, in real time, and so do requirements of our projects. It was all fine when we had just started with a two person team but things got real ugly now that we have expanded, handling clients like ICICI Prudential and Idea Cellular with colossal frequencies of user touchpoints.

Information and tasks assigned used to get lost in mails, we had tons of papers on the notice board to remind us of stuff. Things were never seamless. We finalized on DeskAway after a lot of test runs with Basecamp and such, and it was worth it. We are actually saving around 48 minutes per day per member now. Things get done on time. We know who is accountable for certain task, who is working efficiently etc. We can assign tasks seamlessly via mails. In addition, we can easily work from home if need arises.

In short, it’s been a lifesaver :)

Small Thoughts - Changing with the mediums…

Friday, December 11th, 2009

I came across an interesting article about how the medium affects the way the author behaves. As we change modes of transport, communications, language etc. it surely has an effect on our other aspects, our moods, thoughts and attitudes.

I act quite differently in my car than I do when I meet strangers in a store. I’m much more likely to be aggressive while driving, whereas in a store, I’m generally very courteous and tend to go out of my way to hold doors open for people Read Moreafricanwithmobile.

Working in social media involves a lot of online interactions and relation building. While I can manage that aspect well, if I was put on a phone call things would become a little difficult. I tend to be curt and snippy even with friends.

Personally when I meet people then again things get simple. Only when on the phone I just want to put it down.

Are you aware of any such behavioral changes in yourself due to medium?

Connecting the world with Social Media

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

freedomfromwarlogoInteresting article on Mashable, by JR Johnson about how social media connects people with common ground. It promotes friendly relations and mutual trust amongst people of different cultures and thoughts a.k.a. world peace!

We are sharing unprecedented amounts of personal perspective through the online platforms mentioned above, as well as on blogs and user generated content sites like Twitter (Twitter), Wikipedia (Wikipedia), and YouTube (YouTube). This increased sharing, combined with the technological transparency and connectivity that the Internet provides, is exposing our points of common ground more than ever before. The stage is set for a positive change in the way we view “us” and “them.” The more we understand our common ground, the more likely we are to understand each other’s differences.

The online media allows people to voice their thoughts and opinions. It also allows other often unknown people to give feedback/suggestions, encouragement and support. People are connecting in a way that has not yet been possible!
