1. What is a Document?
A document is like a Word doc that you create in a word processor (Microsoft Word etc). The only difference is that here you are creating the document online (in a web browser window) so that you can save this document on a secure server online and access it from anywhere. A document is quicker than uploading a Word doc with versions, if you quickly want to save ideas, thoughts or other work and have the ease to edit it from anywhere.

2. Can I share a document with other people?
Yes. You can share the document with other Team members who are assigned to that Project. Only the creator of the document, all the Super Users & the Project Lead can share the document with someone else in the Team. There is a "Share" tab along with the other tabs like "Edit", "Comment" and "Template" etc.

Share Document

3. What permissions are allowed for a Document?
A Document can have the following permissions:
Private: only you can access.
Public: everyone on the project can access (even if a new person joins the team).
Shared: I can choose to share the file with only a few people.

4. What is the maximum size limit for a document?
There is no maximum size limit for a document.

5. Can a document be renamed anytime?
Yes. The creator of the document, all the Super Users & the Project Lead can rename a document by clicking on the "rename" link right next to the document name, on the page that lists all the documents within a Project.

6. What is a Template?
A template is a specific format that you wish to follow for all or some of your future documents. You can create a template and save it to be used for future documents within that project.

7. Who can add a comment to a Document?
Anyone who has been given access to that document can add a comment.

8. Can a document be printed?

10. Can shared users edit a document?
Yes. Any user permitted by the creator to view the document, can edit the document.

11. Will there be versions to documents too?
Yes. When you or any of your Team Members have done some changes with the text in your Doc then these changes will be recorded as an additional revision. These revisions can later be accessed from the "Revisions" tab link on the top right of the document page. You can also compare revisions (useful when you have multiple people working on the same Document).

12. Despite being in a team I can’t see any documents?
A document when created has a default permission of being 'Private'. The creator would need to either share the Doc with you or make it Public so everyone can see it.

13. My team member has told me to work on a Doc. Somehow, I don't see it listed in the Doc section under that project. What should I do?
If the Doc has been created by someone else then most probably you don't have permission to view it. Please ask the Doc creator to either share the Doc with you or to have the Doc permission "Public" so everything within that project team can access it.
