1. What is a Document?
A document is like a Word doc that you create in a word processor (Microsoft Word etc). The only difference is that here you are creating the document online (inside a web browser window) so that you can save this document on a secure server online and access it from anywhere. A document is quicker than uploading a Word doc with versions, if you quickly want to save ideas, thoughts or other work and have the ease to edit it from anywhere.
2. Can I share a document with other people?
Yes. You can share the document with any other Team member who is assigned to that Project. Only the creator of the document can share the document with someone else on the Team. The creator of the document can see a "Share" tab link along with the other links like "Edit", "Comment" and "Preview", when looking at the actual document.
3. What is the maximum size limit for a document file?
There is no maximum size limit for a document file.
4. Can a document be renamed anytime?
Yes the creator of the document can rename a document by clicking on the "rename" link right next to the document name, on the page that lists all the documents within a Project.
5. What is a Template?
A template is a specific format that you wish to follow for all or some of your future documents. You can create a template and save it to be used for future documents within that project.
6. Who can add a comment to a Document?
Anyone who has been given access to that document can add a comment.
7. Can a document be previewed before printing?
Yes. By clicking on the "Preview" link tab or the "View" Icon (looks like a magnifying glass), the document can be previewed before printing.
8. Can shared users edit a document?
Yes. Any user permitted by the creator to view the document, can also edit the document.
9. Will there be versions to documents too?
The documents have an automatic "auto-save" functionality. As you type within the document box, after every minute your work will be automatically saved. (You will need an active internet connection for this functionality to work). However, if you want to save versions of a particular document, you can click on the "Save" button and every time you click on the "Save" button, your changes will be recorded as an additional revision. These revisions can later be accessed from the "Revisions" tab link on the top right of the document window. You can also compare revisions (useful when you have multiple people working on the same Document).
