1. What is the Google Doc integration?
With the Google Doc integration you can now attach your Google Doc files to your DeskAway Docs with a click. Earlier, if you had to use two systems to work on a particular doc. With this integration you can easily access your Google Docs from within DeskAway itself!

2. How can I integrate Google Doc with my already existing Google Apps integrated DeskAway account?
Login to your Google Apps account. Go to the Manage This Domain page. Now click on the “View and grant access” link just below to the DeskAway link on the Dashboard page. It will navigate to your DeskAway marketplace. Then scroll down this page & click on the "Grant data access" link under the Date Access section. Your DeskAway account will now be able to access your Google Docs.

4. How can I add a document in my Google Apps account from my DeskAway account?
Go to the Docs page in your DeskAway account. Click on the “Add New Doc” button. Now enter the document name & select any of the doc type options (like Document, Spreadsheet, Presentation) and add it.
If you have already logged in your Google Apps account then this Doc will be added automatically in your Google Doc as well as in your DeskAway account.
If you have not logged in your Google Apps account then it will ask you to login and after login to your Google Apps account this Doc will be added in your Google Doc as well as in your DeskAway account.

5. What will be the permission of a Google Doc if I create it using my DeskAway account?
If you create a Google Doc by using your DeskAway account then the permission of this doc will be automatically private in your Google Apps account, but the permission of this doc will be Public in your DeskAway account. All the users can view this Google Doc in the Doc listing but they will not be able to open/view/edit the Doc as the Doc is not shared with them from Google Apps.

6. How can I share this Google Doc with my team members?
If you want to share a Google Doc with your team members then you need to share it from your Google Doc page. Clicking on the Google Doc from DeskAway will open it in Google Docs. From here share this doc with any user. If this user is also in your DeskAway project, he/she will be able to access this doc and make changes to it.

7. Can I add my already existing Google Docs to my DeskAway Doc section?
Yes, you can add your already existing Google Docs in your DeskAway account. Go to the Docs page in your DeskAway account. Click on the “Attach Google Doc” button from the left side of this page, then a list of all your Google Docs will be displayed with a check box options and an “Attach Google Document” button. Now select the required Google Docs and click on the “Attach Google Document” button - these docs will be added in your DeskAway account.

8. Can I add comment in the Google Docs from DeskAway system?
Yes. You can add comments to your Google Docs from your DeskAway account, but these comments will only be reflected within your DeskAway Docs. This is a good way to discuss stuff about a Google Doc.

9. Can I view the comments added on Google Docs from my DeskAway account in my Google Apps account?
Sorry, you cannot view all these comments in your Google Apps account which are added from your DeskAway account.

10. If I delete a Google Doc from my DeskAway account does this doc also get deleted from my Google Apps account?
No. If you delete a Google Doc from your DeskAway account then this doc will not be removed from your google Apps account. We will only de-link it from your DeskAway account.

11. If I delete a Google Doc from my Google Apps account does this doc also get deleted from my DeskAway account?
If you delete a Google Doc from your Google Apps account then this Doc will remain in your DeskAway account. When you click on this deleted Doc from your DeskAway account it will show an error page on your Google Apps account. Any Doc removed/deleted from Google Apps needs to be manually removed from DeskAway. There is no way for DeskAway to know if this Doc exists in Google Docs.

12. What are these G icons in the File section in my DeskAway account?
These G icons are related to the Google Docs. You will see these icons on the File section if you have integrated your DeskAway account with your Google Apps account. You can open up these files in your Google Docs account so you don’t have to download them each time you want to edit them.

13. If I click on this Google icon on the File page then what I can view?
If you click on this Google icon then that uploaded file will be opened as a Google Document and this document will be automatically added in your Google Doc section.
